Die Medaille aus bronzefarbenem Messing zeigt das Logo des Deutschen Jagdverbandes über dem Kopf eines Rothirsches und wird auf der Rückseite von einem Kranz gerahmt. Die Fläche innerhalb des Kranzes kann mit individuellen Gravuren versehen werden. An der Medaille mit 4 cm Durchmesser befinden sich eine Öse zur Befestigung einer Kette (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten).
