This R8 stock is designed to accommodate a thicker and heavier semi-weight barrel. This barrel with a 19 mm profile is approximately 300 g heavier than the standard barrels from Blaser. As a result, the rifle oscillates better, precision is increased, and recoil is reduced.
The stock is made of class 3 walnut, and the forend cap is made of dark ebony. The checkering pattern on the grip surfaces feels pleasantly tactile in the hands. The ergonomically perfectly shaped buttstock ends with a rubber cap that noticeably absorbs felt recoil.
The manual safety of the system secures the rifle by relaxing the firing pin spring, which is only tensioned immediately before the shot. The action housing is made of Dural, it is matte black anodized and features a gold-colored R8 logo. The direct trigger breaks without delay at 750 g.

Diese R8-Schäftung ist für die Aufnahme eines dickeren und schwereren Semi-Weight-Lauf konzipiert. Dieser Lauf mit einem 19-mm-Profil ist ca. 300 g schwerer als die Standardläufe von Blaser. Dadurch schwingt die Büchse besser, die Präzision wird erhöht und der Rückstoß ist geringer.
Die Schäftung besteht aus Nussbaumholz der Klasse 3, der Vorderschaftabschluss ist aus dunklem Ebenholz. Die Fischhautstruktur an den Griffflächen liegt haptisch angenehm in den Händen. Der ergonomisch perfekt geformte Hinterschaft schließt mit einer Kappe aus Gummi ab, die den gefühlten Rückstoß spürbar absorbiert.
Die Handspannung des Systems sichert das Gewehr durch Entspannung der Schlagfeder, gespannt wird diese erst unmittelbar vor dem Schuss. Der Systemkasten ist aus Dural gefertigt, er ist mattschwarz eloxiert und mit einem goldfarbenen R8-Logo versehen. Der Direktabzug bricht ohne Verzug bei 750 g.
