The Glock 19 Gen4 MOS in caliber 9 mm Luger represents the compact version of the Glock 17 and therefore has reduced dimensions, making it versatile in use. Its application area can be found, for example, with authorities or as a comfortably carried secondary weapon.
The Gen4 pistol models offer features that make them very user-friendly:
The design is based on a Modular Back Strap (MBS) grip with an integrated Short Frame control block, allowing the shooter to change the circumference of the grip and adapt it to the respective hand size. The exchange of the grip panels can be done very quickly and easily. When using an optional grip panel, the grip angle is not changed, which eliminates any deviation from the familiar point of impact. Additionally, the grip and the interchangeable grip panels feature a textured surface (Gen4 RTF surface), which significantly improves grip when shooting.
The magazine holder is interchangeable, and the contact surface is enlarged and can be mounted on the right side of the pistol without the need for additional parts if required. The Gen4 models are also equipped with a tandem recoil spring, which reduces recoil and increases the lifespan of the spring.
The Modular Optic System (MOS) allows the user to use the pistol together with an electronic sight. Four adapter plates for mounting common optical systems are included:

Die Glock 19 Gen4 MOS im Kaliber 9 mm Luger stellt die Kompakt-Version der Glock 17 dar und verfügt daher über reduziertere Abmessungen, wodurch sie vielseitig verwendbar wird. So findet sich ihr Einsatzgebiet beispielsweise bei Behörden oder als bequem zu tragende Zweitwaffe.
Die Gen4 Pistolenmodelle bieten Features, die sie sehr anwenderfreundlich gestalten:
Das Design basiert auf einem Modular Back Strap (MBS)-Griffstück mit einem eingebauten Short Frame Steuerblock und erlaubt dem Schützen, den Umfang des Griffstücks zu verändern und an die jeweilige Handgröße anzupassen. Der Griffschalenaustausch ist dabei sehr schnell und einfach durchzuführen. Bei Verwendung einer optionalen Griffschale wird der Griffwinkel nicht verändert, was eine Abweichung vom gewohnten Trefferbild ausschließt. Zusätzlich verfügen Griffstück und die austauschbaren Griffschalen über eine angeraute Oberfläche (Gen4 RTF-Oberfläche), die die Griffigkeit beim Schießen deutlich verbessert.
Der Magazinhalter ist wechselbar, sowie die Auflagefläche vergrößert und kann bei Bedarf ohne Verwendung zusätzlicher Teile auch an der rechten Pistolenseite angebracht werden. Die Gen4 Modelle sind zudem mit einer Tandem Schließfeder ausgestattet, welche den Rückstoß reduziert und die Lebensdauer der Feder erhöht.
