La mayoría de los casquillos nuevos presentan abolladuras, irregularidades y rebabas en la boca del casquillo. Estos casquillos deben ser dimensionados, expandidos y biselados con una herramienta de desbarbado. La herramienta de desbarbado Inside-Outside de Forster es una pieza de equipo de doble punta y multifunción que puede utilizarse manualmente, con un torno o acoplada a la base especial DBT (se vende por separado). La herramienta de desbarbado Inside-Outside maneja todos los cartuchos desde .17 hasta .45 calibre.
