Klaus Weisskirchen est né en 1943 dans une petite maison à la lisière de la forêt dans l’Oberbergischer Kreis. Déjà à l’âge de 10 ans, il parcourait souvent la forêt et essayait d’interpréter les voix des animaux de la forêt afin de les imiter. Ce n’est qu’en 2004 qu’il a commencé à développer ses propres appeaux et à les construire en série. En raison de sa popularité, l’introduction de ses nouveaux instruments était inévitable.
