Um da Rat zu schaffen, bedient man sich des Rufes eines Nachtraubvogels durch die Tatsache, dass die Nachträuber von den Tagraubvögeln gehasst werden.Steinkauzruf (Käuzl), der auf die Krähen alarmierend wirkt. Sie wollen ihren Feind vertreiben und rücken ihm mit Gezeter zu Leibe. Die Zuhilfenahme dieses Rufes macht dadurch die Krähenjagd bedeutend erfolgreicher. Der Steinkauzruf ist deshalb manchmal unentbehrlich, weil man den Krähenruf nicht mehr anwenden kann, wenn Krähen in der Nähe sind.
