Lo Schmidt Rubin K31 è una delle carabine militari svizzere più conosciute e apprezzate nel mondo del collezionismo e del tiro storico. L’esemplare proposto si presenta in ottime condizioni generali, caratteristica che lo rende particolarmente interessante per l’appassionato alla ricerca di un K31 ben conservato.
Adottato dall’esercito svizzero negli anni Trenta, il K31 rappresenta un’importante evoluzione della tradizione delle carabine d’ordinanza elvetiche. Pur essendo comunemente indicato come Schmidt-Rubin, il Karabiner Modell 1931, meglio conosciuto semplicemente come K31, si distingue soprattutto per il caratteristico sistema di otturazione straight-pull, che consente di azionare l’otturatore con un movimento lineare.
Il K31 utilizza la storica munizione svizzera 7,5×55 Swiss, calibro strettamente legato alla storia delle armi d’ordinanza della Confederazione. La combinazione tra costruzione robusta, lavorazioni meccaniche di qualità e particolare sistema di funzionamento ha contribuito a rendere il K31 un’arma ancora oggi molto ricercata.
Dal punto di vista estetico, il design è quello tipico delle carabine militari svizzere del periodo: essenziale, funzionale e immediatamente riconoscibile. La calciatura in legno e le parti metalliche conferiscono all’arma il fascino autentico di un’ordinanza militare del Novecento.
