Un’arma che ha fatto la storia nell’esercito norvegese e primo “clone” della 1911 prodotto in Europa su licenza Colt. Fu prodotta appunto in Norvegia in 32.874 esemplari a partire dal 1916 (con la prima consegna nel 1917), dopo che ci fu un acquisto iniziale per la marina di circa 400 pezzi nel 1915 e di altri 300 nel 1917 direttamente negli USA. Praticamente identica alla cugina a stelle e strisce si differenzia per una leva hold open maggiorata, per una rullata sul carrello differente e per avere praticamente tutti i pezzi matricolati. Come si sa durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale la Norvegia fu occupata dai tedeschi che continuarono a produrre la M/1914 sotto il loro controllo, rinominandola “Pistole 657 (n)“. Questa che presentiamo (con matricola 18.050) rientra nel lotto del 1928 (dalla matricola 15.901 alla 20.100 per un totale di 2.100 pezzi prodotti). Arma in condizioni ottime, con fosfatazione molto sana e completa. Arma monomatricola, con canna a specchio e con rigature ben definite. Un pezzo raro, considerando che rimase in servizio fino ala fine della Secondoa Guerra Mondiale nel 1945, ambito per una collezione di armi che fu.
