GRS Riflestocks · Premium-v3 Buying Guide
GRS Bifrost Stock System
Weatherproof composite stock with extensive SpeedLock ergonomics, prepared accessory points, and wide 56-mm fore-end for hunting, range, and precision setups.
The Bifrost is only the right base if the selected system inlet exactly fits the firearm. The many variants distinguish real inlets, not just names.
Fits well / fits rather not
Fits well if … you’re looking for a weatherproof all-round stock with adjustable LOP, cheek rest, and height/tilt-adjustable buttplate.
Ideal for changing shooting positions, clothing layers, and support configurations.
Fits rather not if … you prioritise classic laminate feel, integrated Arca over the entire front, or a folding full-aluminium chassis.
A similarly named firearm variant is no substitute for the correct inlet.
Features with practical benefits
SpeedLock & Buttplate LOP from 35–38 cm plus height- and tilt-adjustable buttplate help set shoulder contact and head position separately and precisely.
56-mm Fore-end More contact surface than slim hunting stocks. This supports bags and stable positions but makes the front area wider.
Spigot Preparation Front support can be shifted forward. Spigot and bipod are separate components and not automatically included.
Composite Material Less sensitive to changing weather than openly damaged wood. QD and Picatinny interfaces still need to be kept clean and dry.
Variant Choice & Avoiding Wrong Purchases
SA/LA, LH/RH, CTR, BDL, HMR, and bolt-release positions are critical for purchase. They can change system length, inlet, magazine area, and operating path. Only choose the combination actually available in the variant selector.
“No glass bedding required” does not mean “universally fitting.” Recoil system, screw channels, magazine area, and barrel clearance must mechanically fit together correctly.
Limits & Disadvantages
With about 1.35
kg the Bifrost is not an ultralight hunting stock. Compared to Warg, the front area is wider and less M-LOK-oriented; compared to Fenris, it is more elaborate and more adjustable. If you only want a simple lightweight upgrade, you might not need the additional adjustment range.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Material Fiberglass-reinforced composite Weatherproof and robust, interfaces still require maintenance.
LOP 35–38 cm Fine-tunable for clothing and shooting position.
Overall length approx. 80 cm Classic stock length without folding mechanism.
Fore-end 56 mm wide Stable support but bulkier than Warg.
Weight approx. 1.35 kg depending on inlet Balanced all-rounder, not lightweight.
Interfaces Spigot preparation, Picatinny/QD points Accessories can be planned but are not automatically included.
Scope of delivery
Bifrost stock, two QD sling swivels, additional Picatinny rail, user manual and GRS decals according to existing manufacturer data. Firearm, action, magazine, optics, bipod, spigot and other accessories are not automatically included.
Assembly & safe check
Only work on a fully unloaded firearm. Check mating surfaces, action screws, magazine area and barrel clearance; do not “force fit” with higher torque. After assembly, check safety, trigger, bolt and empty magazine for free function and then re-confirm zero.
FAQ
Is the Bifrost usable without bedding? GRS offers it without necessary glass bedding; the correct inlet and manufacturer specifications for assembly and torque remain mandatory. Is the spigot included? No. The preparation is present, spigot and bipod are separate components. Which variant fits? Only the exact matching manufacturer/model/system length/handedness combination in the shop. What is the main difference to the Warg? Bifrost is the wider, more all-round oriented composite stock; Warg prioritizes a narrower modular aluminium fore-end.
Black-Raptor classification The Bifrost is strong if you want a weatherproof, very well adjustable all-round stock. If you know your exact system variant, you get a lot of ergonomic reserve; if you just look for “any matching GRS stock,” you risk an expensive mistake with the wrong inlet choice.

GRS Riflestocks · Premium-v3 Kaufberatung
GRS Bifrost Schaftsystem
Welche Variante passt?
