In the field, distance at night can quickly seem shorter or longer than it really is. Especially at forest edges, in meadows, or over gently sloping terrain, you can misjudge if only the thermal image is in front of you and no fixed reference is visible in the image.
The HIKMICRO Lynx LQ35L 3.0 therefore combines a powerful 640 thermal sensor with an integrated laser rangefinder. You get not only a clear image but can measure distances up to 1000 m according to the manufacturer. This makes the device particularly interesting for users who want to combine observation and distance information in a compact monocular.
Key Features
640 x 512 VOx thermal sensor with 12 µm pixel pitch and 50 Hz frame rate.
NETD under 15 mK according to the manufacturer for fine contrasts in difficult weather.
35 mm F1.0 lens with 1.9x base magnification and up to 15.2x total magnification.
Integrated laser rangefinder up to 1000 m, accuracy ±1 m according to the manufacturer.
HSIS shutterless system, Image Pro / Zoom Pro, Hot Track, PIP, and local gallery.
64 GB storage, photo, video, and audio recording, replaceable battery, and IP67 protection class.
Our Assessment
The LQ35L 3.0 is not just the more expensive version of the LQ35. The decisive added value is the laser rangefinder. If you regularly observe in areas where distances are hard to estimate, this feature makes the work calmer and more reproducible.
Those who only monitor short forest clearings and know distances well can get along very well with the LQ35 without LRF. But if you hunt field edges, open meadows, slopes, or changing territories, the LQ35L gives you more confidence in your assessment. This justifies the price difference professionally.
Important Consideration Before Purchase
Even with a laser rangefinder, the device remains an observation tool. It does not replace hunting responsibility, safe identification, legal review of use, or checking of backstops or surroundings. Always observe the applicable hunting and firearms regulations.
Practical Tip
Don’t measure every heat source immediately. First scan roughly, then stabilize on interesting points or rest quietly before measuring. This avoids hectic jumping between image, zoom, and distance value.
Use Cases
Sitting at field edges, wide clearings, and changing distances.
Territory monitoring when distances are not secured by known landmarks.
Observation in fog, rain, or high humidity where fine contrasts matter.
Documentation via photo, video, and audio when observations need to be reviewed later.
Features & Design
At around 410 g, the LQ35L remains manageable for a 640 device with integrated LRF. The replaceable battery is practical because you can carry spares without tying the whole device to a power source. The housing is IP67 protected and rated for temperatures from -30 °C to +45 °C.

Anwendungsszenarien
