Magpul · MBUS Pro Offset
Mechanical backup at 45° – useful when scope, rail, and cheek weld allow space
The MBUS Pro Offset set adds laterally offset front and rear sights to an AR-15 setup. The benefit arises when the main optic is intentionally preserved and a second mechanical sight line is made available by slightly canting the system.
Front + Rear · Picatinny · Offset
Considerations before buying
Offset is not a classic co-witness: the sight line is laterally offset. The system is canted for the benefit of offset sighting. Those who want to see a mechanical sight directly through the main optic need a different configuration.
Before buying, free Picatinny slots, the outer contour of the optic, magnifier, cables, mounting levers, and the desired cheek weld side count.
Fits well
AR-15 with free Picatinny mounting space
Main optic should remain mounted, mechani
che reserve but directly available
Side canting is part of the planned operation flow
Rather doesn’t fit
Whoever expects classic co-witness through the optic
Optic, magnifier or accessories block the folding movement
Very tight rail setups without free offset geometry
Features with practical effect
Front and rear as a matched set
Both sight parts belong together. This reduces the risk of mixing different sight heights or lines.
Folding steel construction
In the folded state, the profile remains more compact. Still check before mounting whether the optic and accessories allow the movement path.
Laterally offset sight line
The switch does not occur through a different optic axis, but by canting the system. This must be trained and ergonomically suitable.
Picatinny as a clear interface
The rail must not only be present but also offer enough space in the right place. “AR-15” alone is no guarantee for mounting.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
Offset requires conscious operation: Those who cannot cant the weapon in a controlled way or prefer a linear backup solution often find classic MBUS Pro sights the clearer solution.
A full accessory setup can block the offset sight line. Before ordering, don’t just count the rail but check the real side profile of optic and mounts.
Technical data with practical consequences
Product type
Folding offset sight set.
Delivery configuration
Front and rear sight as a set.
Interface
Picatinny.
Platform context
AR-15 and comparable setups with suitable Picatinny geometry.
Material
Steel according to available product information.
Color

Scope of delivery
MBUS Pro Offset Front Sight and MBUS Pro Offset Rear Sight are delivered as a set. Main optic, mount, tools and other rail accessories are not confirmed as included.
Mounting and safe checking
Mount only on unloaded system. After tightening, fully fold out and in both sights, check free sight line and ensure no optic, cables or mounting levers collide. Then zero mechanical sight at intended distance and check.
FAQ
Is this a co-witness set? No. The sights are laterally offset and used by canting the system. Are front and rear included? Yes. The available product information describes a complete offset set. Does it automatically fit every AR-15 optic? No. The outer contour of optic, magnifier and mounts must allow the offset line and folding movement. Why should I choose offset instead of classic backup sights? If the main optic should remain mounted unchanged and a separate mechanical sight line through controlled canting is desired.
Black-Raptor classification
A good backup concept if consciously planned: The offset set does not save a setup check. Rail space, optic width and stop decide whether the second sight line is really quickly usable.

Magpul · MBUS Pro Offset
Front + Rear · Picatinny · Offset
Sehr enge Rail-Setups ohne freie Offset-Geometrie
