Petromax Fire Kettle Stainless Steel 1.5 l – hot water without gas or electricity The larger fire kettle uses small solid natural fuels and a chimney effect. 1.5 liters are especially suitable for several people; for solo setups, the smaller 0.75 l version is more handy.
Fits well / fits rather not
Fits well For camp, bushcraft, and garden when coffee, tea, or cooking water for several people should be heated independently of gas cartridges.
Fits rather not For indoor spaces, tents, vehicles, or ultralight solo gear. It is an outdoor fire device, not an electric kettle.
Practical effect
1.5 liter volume Enough for several cups or several trekking meals; therefore larger and heavier than the 0.75 l version.
Chimney effect Dry twigs, shavings, bark, or cones burn in the fire bowl; the rising heat is guided through the kettle shape.
Limits & avoid bad purchases
Water is heated inside the kettle itself – do not fill milk, soup, or coffee. Do not heat empty, do not fill above the lower edge of the spout, and operate exclusively outdoors on a fireproof surface.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Capacity 1.5 l – group and camp size instead of solo minimalism.
Material Stainless steel with silicone parts according to available data – robust but heats up strongly during use.
Height approx. 31.9 cm, assembled approx. 46.1 cm – consider space requirements before storing.
Weight approx. 1.3 kg – self-sufficient but significantly heavier than a small trekking stove.
Scope of delivery
Fire kettle with steam whistle, fire bowl with removable feet, cooking attachment, additional closure lid, and user manual according to available data set.
Safe use
Fill with water first, then ignite fire. Use only small solid fuels. Keep distance from flammable materials and let the kettle cool completely before moving or storing.
FAQ
Can I cook soup directly in it? No. The kettle is for water; food belongs in separate cookware on the attachment. What is the advantage over 0.75 l? More water per cycle – useful for several people but with larger packing size. Can it run in the vestibule? No. It is intended for outdoor use only.
Black-Rapt
or-Classification Very fitting for a self-sufficient camp kitchen with several people. If you only need a cup of water or prioritize weight, the smaller version is better suited. (Show description in original language)
