UTG AccuShot · SCP3-U312AOIEW · 3–12×44
Versatile 30mm optic – with deliberately mixed Mil/MOA logic
The SCP3-U312AOIEW combines 3–12×, 44mm objective, Side-AO and an illuminated Mil-Dot reticle in the second focal plane. The turrets operate with ¼ MOA per click. Reticle, focal plane and click system should therefore be considered separately – a Mil-Dot reticle does not automatically make the click adjustment MRAD.
SFP + Mil-Dot + ¼ MOA

Black-Raptor classification

The 3–12×44 configuration is versatile when switching between a wider overview and more detail. The 30mm tube and 44mm objective remain moderate compared to large 50/56mm optics but still require enough mounting space and objective clearance.
The most important buying point is the operating logic: The Mil-Dot reticle is in SFP, the turrets click in MOA. This works but is less intuitive than a fully consistent MRAD/MRAD or MOA/MOA system.

Fits well / fits less well

Fits well if …
3–12× matches your distance range,
a 30mm tube and 44mm objective fit your setup,
parallax adjustment via Side-AO is desired,
you want to consciously handle SFP Mil-Dot and MOA clicks.

Fits less well if …
you are looking for FFP,
you prefer a consistent angular unit for reticle and turrets,
a particularly lightweight or very short setup is a priority
hat,
the included 30-mm rings do not fit your base interface.

Features and Practical Impact

3–12×44 3× offers more overview, 12× more detail. The 44-mm objective remains more compact than larger front lenses but requires real clearance above the barrel or handguard.

Side AO from 10 yd The side parallax adjustment is practical for changing distances. It is a separate adjustment point and not to be confused with focus or magnification.

SFP Mil-Dot The reticle is in the second image plane. Its angular references therefore do not automatically apply equally at every magnification; the intended reference magnification must be considered.

¼-MOA Turrets The click adjustment works in MOA. This is independent of the reticle being a Mil-Dot.

Limits, Disadvantages and Avoiding Bad Purchases

No FFP: The SFP reticle logic must fit the intended use.

Mil reticle + MOA turrets: If you expect a uniform angular unit, this is the wrong control concept.

Around 644 g and approx. 356 mm: Weight and length affect balance and mounting space.

Rings included does not automatically mean fitting: Check base interface, height, and objective clearance on your specific setup.

Purchase Check and Safe Use

Check 30-mm tube, objective clearance, available mounting length and base interface before purchase. The included rings are specified for Picatinny/Weaver; this does not imply approval for 11-mm rails.
When mounting, unload the system completely and follow the instructions of the mounting used. Do not adopt torque values from other ring models; check fit and clearance after mounting.

FAQ
Is the reticle FFP? No. The Mil-Dot reticle is in the second image plane (SFP).
Are the turrets MRAD because the reticle is Mil-Dot? No. The click adjustment is ¼ MOA per click. Reticle scale and click system are separate features.
Does the set fit directly on 11 mm? No. The included rings are specified for Picatinny/Weaver.
What is the Side AO for? It serves to adjust parallax to the respective distance and is not to be confused with magnification or diopter adjustment.

Black-Raptor short summary: The SCP3-U312AOIEW is a versatile 3–12×44 optic for users who deliberately want to work with SFP Mil-Dot, Side AO and ¼-MOA turrets. Those looking for FFP or a uniform MRAD/MRAD system should choose another variant. (Show description in original language)
