Vector Optics SCOM-26 · Matiz 2–7×32 · SFP
Compact hunting optic for overview instead of maximum magnification The Matiz 2–7×32 is a deliberately simple scope with a duplex reticle, 1-inch main tube, and capped 1/4-MOA turrets. It suits users who want a slim setup for short to medium distances and can do without illuminated reticles, tactical turrets, and high maximum magnification.
Our honest assessment
The strength of the SCOM-26 lies in its straightforward design: 2× provides usable overview, 7× is enough for significantly more precise aiming from a stable position. The 32-mm objective keeps size and weight manageable but offers less twilight performance than larger objectives.
The fixed parallax at 100 yd simplifies operation but limits correction options at very short distances. The non-illuminated duplex reticle remains clear but is less distinct in low light.
Fits well if … you’re looking for a compact 1-inch optic for your hunting ground, training, or simple precision applications and prefer a classic, calm duplex reticle.
Less suitable if … you want true 1×, an illuminated reticle, side focus for changing short distances or
you need high magnification for detailed shot observation.
Features with practical impact
2–7× magnification At 2× the field of view remains wide enough for quick orientation; 7× supports more precise target acquisition. For dynamic applications, 2× does not replace a true 1×.
Duplex reticle in SFP The reticle stays optically the same size when zooming and offers a steady aiming image without complex hold marks. It is not a MIL or MOA reticle; MOA here refers exclusively to the click adjustment.
Fixed parallax at 100 yd No additional adjustment is needed at typical medium distances. At significantly shorter distances, a clean, centered head position becomes more important.
Capped 1/4-MOA turrets One click corresponds to about 7.3 mm at 100 m. The design is better suited for zeroing and occasional corrections than for constant dialing.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
This model is not a long-range, low-light, or dynamic specialist. The 32-mm objective, unilluminated reticle, and fixed parallax set clear limits. The main tube diameter is 25.4 mm / 1 inch; the eyepiece diameter is not the measure for mounting rings.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Optics 2–7×32, SFP, fully multi-coated – compact design instead of maximum light reserve.
Reticle Duplex, unilluminated – clear but without graduated hold marks.
Main tube 25.4 mm / 1 inch – be sure to use the correct ring size.
Adjustment 1/4 MOA per click, 60 MOA elevation and windage travel each.
Parallax Fixed at 100 yd / approx. 91 m.
Field of view 13.99–4.01 m at 100 m – significantly more overview at 2× than at 7×.
Eye relief 108–98 mm – check in natural shooting position before tightening rings.
Dimensions 279 mm, 375 g net product weight according to manufacturer data.
Protection IPX4, nitrogen-filled, rated for 600-G shock – rainproof but not submersible.
Scope of delivery
Rifle scope Vector Optics Matiz 2–7×32 SFP (SCOM-26), one pair of 25.4-mm Weaver rings, lens caps and cleaning cloth. Before mounting, check rail type, height, objective clearance and eye relief on your specific setup.
Safe mounting and use
Mount only on a fully unloaded firearm. Align rings without tension and tighten only according to torque specifications from mount and firearm manufacturers. After mounting, dismounting or hard impact, perform a group test to check function and point of impact.
FAQ
Is the SCOM-26 an MOA reticle? No. The exact model has a Duplex reticle. MOA here describes the 1/4-MOA click adjustment. Which rings do I need? The main tube measures 25.4 mm / 1 inch. The included Weaver rings only fit properly if the interface and height match your firearm. Is the reticle illuminated? No. The Duplex reticle is unilluminated. For what distance is the parallax set? Fixed at 100 yd, about 91 m. How much does one click adjust at 100 m? 1/4 MOA corresponds to about 7.3 mm at 100 m; the actual point of impact change is always confirmed with a group test.
