3 MOA · 1 MOA/click · compact
VictOptics RDSL28 SRD 1x20: classic 1x red dot without unnecessary extras The RDSL28 is a compact 1x20 reflex sight with a 3-MOA dot, eight red brightness levels, and 1-MOA click adjustment. It’s aimed at users who want a simple, easy-to-use red dot.
Important before buying: The available shop data confirm the optic data and a clearance for .223/.308; however, the specific mounting interface must still fit your own setup.
Our honest assessment
The RDSL28 forgoes solar, multi-reticle, and complex electronics. That can be an advantage if you want a clear red dot and straightforward operation. For users expecting shake-awake, solar, or multiple reticles, it’s the wrong class.
Fits well if … you want a simple 1x red dot with a 3-MOA dot and clear manual brightness selection.
Less suitable if … you need solar, motion sensor, multi-reticle, or a magnifying optic.
Features and practical effect
3-MOA dot A medium dot that combines quick target acquisition with sufficiently fine aiming reference.
8 brightness levels Manual brightness selection allows adjustment to ambient light. Too high brightness can cause the dot to bloom visually.
1 MOA per click The click value is independent of the 3-MOA dot size. The maximum adjustment range is 60 MOA.
190 g The sight is noticeably heavier than ultra-light micro dots. This should be considered for mounting position and balance.
Limits, disadvantages, and avoiding bad purchases
No magnification: 1x remains 1x – for small targets at distance, a rifle scope is the better choice.
Don’t assume extra functions: Solar, shake-awake, and multi-reticle are not confirmed in the available data.
Caliber clearance is not mounting clearance: Even if .223 and .308 are listed in the product data, rail, interface, and mount must mechanically fit.
Check after mounting: Secure fit and point of impact must be checked after every mounting.

Specific mounting and platform compatibility must still be checked separately. Is a mount included?
