NEXTORCH Saint Torch 30C · mobile searchlight
When a large area needs to be surveyed in seconds.
The Saint Torch 30C combines a 15,000-lumen momentary turbo with a 10,000-lumen high starting value, wide search light, and up to 515 m manufacturer range. It is built for search operations, extensive deployment sites, and game management – significantly more portable than a large handheld spotlight, but not a lightweight EDC.
Check if the 30C fits your task
Our honest assessment
The 30C is a powerful searchlight with a sensible balance of area and range. Two independent measurement series confirmed the order of magnitude of the manufacturer’s values. They also clearly show: Turbo and High modes significantly step down after about a minute. 15,000 lumens are a short identification pulse, not hours of continuous output.
The fixed 3×21700 battery pack, 787 g manufacturer weight including battery, and the switch logic are deliberately chosen. Those who want maximum continuous output, wec
hselbare Einzelzellen oder eine kleine Einhandlampe sucht, ist in einer anderen Geräteklasse besser aufgehoben.
Fits well if …
you want to quickly scan large areas while staying mobile,
you need a directly accessible burst of light for short identification,
USB-C PD fast charging and power bank function are useful in use,
shoulder strap, carrying case, and just under 800 g fit your carrying concept.
Fits less if …
you expect 15,000 lumens as locked continuous light,
you are looking for a compact EDC or permanently one-handed flashlight,
you don’t want strobe in the normal mode sequence,
you require a user-loadable battery system with individual cells.
What the key features practically change
15,000 lm · Momentary Instant bright light The small button provides Turbo only as long as it is held. Ideal for a quick overview, unsuitable as a locked continuous level.
10,000 lm · High Strong start, clear step-down High is lockable but does not run for hours at five-digit output. Thermal and battery protection significantly reduce output.
up to 515 m · 66,306 cd Area plus range core The wide spill keeps near and mid-range visible; the central spot reaches further. The nominal range is no guarantee for reliable detail recognition.
3×21700 · 4,800 mAh Integrated battery pack The pack delivers the necessary power and also works as a power bank. It is not a system for freely exchangeable individual cells.
45 W USB-C Fast ready again With a suitable PD power supply, NEXTORCH states about 1 hour 45 minutes charging time. USB-C and USB-A can supply external devices.
Proximity & temperature Electronic protection functions Sensor and temperature control reduce output near obstacles or heat. This complements safe operation but does not replace it.
Usage advice: Not just switching on the light, but leading it
Differentiate switches with gloves: Be able to blindly feel the small Turbo button and large main switch before use.
Work from near to far: First check immediate reflective surfaces, then search in calm, overlapping sweeps.
Reduce after finding: Switch to Medium or Low as soon as maximum light is no longer needed. This preserves dark adaptation, temperature, and reserve.
Plan start on High: According to independent tests, the flashlight has no classic mode memory and starts on High via the main switch.
Use power bank only with reserve: Do not charge smartphone or radio accessories at the expense of lighting reserve while the situation is ongoing.
Important: The proximity sensor can intervene in reflective or tight environments. Check its function before a task and never consider it as the sole glare protection.
Independently measured: high start output, limited continuous level
1Lumen Measured about 14,022 lm in Turbo and 9,102 lm on High after 30 seconds. After ten minutes, both levels dropped to about 2,000–2,200 lm.
ZeroAir The measurement confirmed 16,142 lm after 30 seconds in Turbo and 10,464 lm on High. The power bank function and fast USB-C charging were positively rated.
The different measurements lie within the usual spread for flashlight tests. Both sources confirm the peak performance and at the same time the thermal reduction – thus the contradiction between high lumen rating and lower continuous brightness is understandably resolved.
Saint Torch 30C or Saint Torch 31?
Saint Torch 30C 15,000 lm momentary turbo, up to 515 m, 787 g including battery and 3×21700 pack. The more mobile choice for frequent location changes and controlled carrying.
Saint Torch 31 20,000 lm, up to 740 m and significantly larger 6×21700 power pack at about 1.5 kg. Useful when range and reserve are more important than weight
sind.
Saint Torch 31 direct comparison
Technical data with practical interpretation
Light levels Turbo 15,000 lm / 515 m, High 10,000 lm / 415 m, Medium 5,000 lm / 290 m, Low 1,000 lm / 135 m, Eco 90 lm / 35 m; additionally Strobe and SOS.
Manufacturer runtimes High 2 h 45 min, Medium 3 h 45 min, Low 6 h 30 min, Eco 52 h. FL1 runtime ends at 10% of initial output and does not mean constant starting brightness.
Power & connections Integrated battery pack with three 21700 cells of 4,800 mAh each, 45-W USB-C PD and USB-A output up to 18 W. Four LEDs show charge status and charging process.
Housing Aluminum alloy, 202 × 82 × 50 mm according to NEXTORCH Germany, 787 g including battery, IPX7 up to 1 m and shock resistance from 1 m.
Scope of delivery
Saint Torch 30C with integrated 3×21700 battery pack, USB-C to USB-C cable, 45-W USB-C power supply, shoulder strap, carrying case and user manual. The HM30 multipurpose grip is an accessory and not part of the binding scope of delivery.
Safety, care and transport
Light & heat Do not shine into eyes and never aim Turbo/Strobe at people from a short distance. Keep the lamp head clear during operation, do not cover and do not place on sensitive or flammable surfaces.
Transport Activate electronic lock, check status and secure the lamp in the bag against unintentional activation. The proximity sensor is not a transport lock.
Battery pack Only charge with suitable USB-C PD technology. Do not continue to use if damaged, unusually warm or deformed and have it checked professionally.
After use Wipe off moisture, keep connections closed and clean, and clean the lens only with a suitable optics cloth. Remove saltwater or dirt promptly with gentle agents.
FAQ about the Saint Torch 30C
Do 15,000 lumens stay on permanently? No. Turbo is only momentarily available via the small button. High also reduces output thermally after a short time.
Are the lumen specifications credible? Yes. 1Lumen and ZeroAir confirmed the magnitude with about 14,022 to 16,142 lumens after 30 seconds. Both measurements also show the step-down.
Does the lamp start in the last selected level? According to the independent 1Lumen test, it has no usual mode memory and starts on High via the main switch. This should be practiced before use.
Can the 30C charge a smartphone? Yes, via USB-C or USB-A. However, any external charging reduces the remaining reserve for lighting.
Can I replace individual 21700 batteries? No. The three cells are built as a proprietary battery pack and are not intended as freely replaceable individual cells.
Is the HM30 grip included? No. NEXTORCH Germany lists the HM30 as an accessory on the product page. Therefore, Black Raptor does not promise it as part of the package.
