Das Armee-Universal-Gewehr, auch kurz AUG wurde 1970 von STEYR für das österreichische Bundesheer entwickelt. Damals war sie die modernste Waffe auf dem Markt, die sich durch ihre Bullpup-Konstruktion und den schnellen Laufwechsel auszeichnete. Das STEYR AUG A3 SA (semi-auto) ist die zivile Version des weltberühmten STEYR AUG, ein halbautomatischer Gasdrucklader mit starrer Verriegelung, QC (quick-change) Lauf und einer Picatinny-Schiene. Der kaltgehämmerte und hart verchromte Lauf ist ein Garant für hervorragende Schussleistung. Das STEYR AUG A3 SA SE ist eine Spezialedition des AUG A3 SA. Anstelle der oberen Picatinnyschiene befindet sich ein Tragegriff mit integrierter Optik, was dem AUG A3 seine ikonische Silhouette verleiht. Auf der Optik befinden sich auf 3, 6 und 12 Uhr weitere Picatinnyschienen. Gesamtlänge: 702 mm
