Die 7 mm Rem. Mag. wurde im Jahre 1962 vorgestellt. Sie gehört der Familie der sog. Magnumpatronen an. Dieses Kaliber eignet sich für Repetierbüchsen mit Standard-Systemen. Bis heute wird dieses Kaliber von Jägern in Europa geführt, was auf eine gestrecktere Flugbahn und somit höhere Geschwindigkeiten gegenüber der 7x64 zurückzuführen ist. Diesem Trend ist GECO 1995 mit der Einführung des 10,7 g schweren Teilmantel-Geschoss gefolgt. Aktuell umfasst das Sortiment zudem die Laborierungen GECO Express mit 10,0 g schweren Geschossen und GECO Plust mit 11,0 g Gewicht. Für alle Jäger, die bleifreie Munition bevorzugen gibt es das GECO ZERO mit 8,2 g Gewicht.
