With its improved barrel featuring 5R rifling, the MSR semi-automatic rifle offers more precision and flight stability than conventional AR-15 rifles. The carbon steel barrel is coated with a hard, corrosion-resistant Melonite QPQ surface finish. This provides higher corrosion protection and lower friction than chrome. Thus, it is extremely durable, robust, and resistant to weather conditions. The .223 Wylde is another interesting feature.
