Together with MESSER MAGAZIN, we held a design competition for a fixed-blade hunting and outdoor knife. We set the following criteria: It should be a flat tang construction; the blade length should not exceed eleven centimeters; the blade should have a drop point, spear point, or skinner shape; the knife should have brass or nickel silver bolsters/hand guard; the handle scales should be made of a natural material such as stag horn or wood, alternatively Micarta can also be used; the sheath should be made of leather.
From the numerous design proposals, a jury consisting of the management and the editorial team of Messer Magazin made a preliminary selection of twelve designs. This was presented to the readers in the issue 03/2018. The readers chose the design by Olaf Zwätz as the winner. The winning design is named: “PUMA ben” and has been implemented almost according to the designer's specifications. Our team and Mr. Zwätz discussed and talked about the details and the best possible implementation from a production perspective. In the end, a hunting and outdoor knife with Sandvik 14C28N steel (first edition) / now CPM S90V steel and elegantly shaped nickel silver bolsters was created. The flat tang construction features a nearly ten-centimeter long drop point blade with a flat grind. The handle scales are made of traditional stag horn and the sheath is made of brown saddle leather.
The knife is delivered in a black wooden box and with a certificate.
Since we process natural products, color and structure variations are possible - each knife is unique.

NEUAUFLAGE von 300 weiteren Exemplaren mit CPM S90V Hochleistungsstahl. Die Messer werden fortlaufend nummeriert. Sichern Sie sich jetzt Ihr Exemplar.
Gemeinsam mit dem MESSER MAGAZIN haben wir einen Designwettbewerb für ein feststehendes Jagd- und Outdoormesser ausgetragen. Diese Kriterien haben wir vorgegeben: Es soll sich um eine Flachangel-Konstruktion handeln; die Klingenlänge soll nicht länger als elf Zentimeter sein; die Klinge soll eine Droppoint-, Speerspitzen- oder Skinner-Form darstellen; das Messer soll Backen/ Handschutz aus Messing oder Neusilber besitzen; die Griffschalen sollen aus einem Naturmaterial wie Hirschhorn oder Holz sein, alternativ kann auch Micarta verwendet werden; die Scheide soll aus Leder bestehen.
Aus den zahlreichen Designvorschlägen, hat eine Jury, bestehend aus der Geschäftsleitung und der Redaktion des Messer Magazins eine Vorauswahl von zwölf Entwürfen vorgenommen. Diese wurde in der Ausgabe 03/2018 den Lesern präsentiert. Die Leserinnen und Leser haben den Entwurf von Olaf Zwätz zum Sieger gewählt. Das Gewinnerdesign trägt den Namen: „PUMA ben“ und ist nahezu nach den Vorgaben des Designers umgesetzt worden. Unser Team und Herr Zwätz haben die näheren Details und die bestmögliche Umsetzung aus Produktionssicht diskutiert und besprochen. Am Ende ist ein Jagd- und Outdoormesser mit Sandvik 14C28N Stahl (Erstauflage) / nun CPM S90V Stahl und elegant geformten Neusilber-Backen entstanden. Die Flachangel-Konstruktion besitzt eine knapp zehn Zentimeter lange Droppoint-Klinge mit Flachschliff. Die Griffschalen bestehen aus traditionellem Hirschhorn und die Scheide aus braunem Sattelleder.
Das Messer wird in einer schwarzen Holzbox und mit Zertifikat ausgeliefert.
Da wir Naturprodukte verarbeiten, sind Farb- und Strukturabweichungen möglich - jedes Messer ist ein Unikat.
