ACME's whistles are frequency standardized and thus guarantee an identical tone for whistles with the same number.
The whistles are available in sizes 210.5 and 211.5.
Acme 210.5 has a higher (brighter) tone. This means that it does not carry as far in the wind. It is best suited for Spaniels, as they need to work close to the handler, where the distances are not so great.
Acme 211.5 has a deeper (darker) tone. This means that it carries further in windy weather. It is best suited for Retrievers, as they can work at distances of up to a few hundred meters.
It is common for Spaniels and Retrievers to be used in the same hunts, so it is helpful if the whistles do not disturb the dogs of the other breeds. This may be a reason why the breeds prefer a certain type of whistle.

Die Pfeifen sind in den Größen 210,5 und 211,5 erhältlich
Acme 210,5 hat einen höheren (helleren) Ton. Das bedeutet, dass er bei Wind nicht so weit trägt. Sie eignet sich am besten für Spaniel, da diese in der Nähe des Führers arbeiten müssen, wo die Entfernungen nicht so groß sind.
Acme 211,5 hat einen tieferen (dunkleren) Ton. Das bedeutet, dass es bei windigem Wetter weiter trägt. Das ist am besten für Retriever geeignet, da sie in einer Entfernung von bis zu ein paar hundert Metern arbeiten können.
Es kommt häufig vor, dass Spaniel und Retriever bei denselben Jagden eingesetzt werden und es ist daher hilfreich, wenn die Pfeifen die Hunde der anderen Rassen nicht stören. Dies kann ein Grund sein, warum die Rassen eine bestimmte Art von Pfeife bevorzugen.
