The CZ Vz. 70 is a semi-automatic service pistol of Czechoslovak origin, developed as the successor to the CZ Vz. 50. It is largely based on the proven design of its predecessor but features some ergonomic and functional improvements. The weapon was primarily used by police and security services in the former Czechoslovakia.

Safety features: The CZ Vz. 70 has a manual safety that also functions as a decocking lever, as well as an internal hammer.
Grip panels: Typically made of black plastic, with coarse checkering for better handling.
Finish: The early models often have a polished, blued surface. Later variants feature matte finishes.
Recoil principle: The pistol operates with a simple mass lock, typical for many pistols of this caliber.

Die CZ Vz. 70 ist eine halbautomatische Dienstpistole tschechoslowakischer Herkunft, die als Nachfolger der CZ Vz. 50 entwickelt wurde. Sie basiert in weiten Teilen auf der bewährten Konstruktion ihres Vorgängers, weist jedoch einige ergonomische und funktionale Verbesserungen auf. Die Waffe wurde vor allem von Polizei und Sicherheitsdiensten in der ehemaligen Tschechoslowakei verwendet.

Sicherheitsmerkmale: Die CZ Vz. 70 besitzt eine manuelle Sicherung, die gleichzeitig als Entspannhebel fungiert, sowie einen innenliegenden Hahn.
Griffschalen: In der Regel aus schwarzem Kunststoff gefertigt, mit grober Fischhaut zur besseren Handhabung.
Verarbeitung: Die frühen Modelle haben oft eine polierte, brünierte Oberfläche. Spätere Varianten weisen matte Oberflächen auf.
Rückstoßprinzip: Die Pistole arbeitet mit einem einfachen Masseverschluss, typisch für viele Pistolen dieses Kalibers.
