The Walther GSP (Gebrauchs-Sportpistole) is one of the most well-known and successful sport pistols for competitive shooting in the disciplines of Olympic rapid fire pistol and precision shooting. It was introduced in 1968 by Carl Walther GmbH and is particularly widespread in .22 lr caliber. The GSP features high precision and is therefore considered extremely accurate, with tight groupings at competition distances. Due to its heavy frame and gas buffering, the weapon remains very stable and is characterized by low recoil. Maintenance of this handgun is simple, as the GSP is robust, durable, and easy to disassemble. Furthermore, it is modular - there are also conversion kits for .32 S&W Long Wadcutter, allowing the weapon to be used for multiple disciplines. Due to the low ammunition costs, the Walther GSP is also excellent for shooting training. This weapon is popular among shooting associations, such as the DSB (Deutscher Schützenbund) or the ISSF. Sie wurde 1968 von der Carl Walther GmbH eingeführt und ist besonders im Kaliber .22 lr. weit verbreitet. Die GSP verfügt über eine hohe Präzision und gilt daher als äußerst präzise, mit enger Streuung auf Wettkampfdistanzen.
