John Lee Muasashi Ichi Wakaizashi with Scabbard
Miyamoto Musashi is known as one of the most remarkable samurai in Japanese history, living from 1584 to 1645. He is praised as the best swordsman in Japan. He was a fighter, artist, and craftsman at the same time. He developed his own fighting style, which is still taught today as "Niten Ichiryu". This style employs both short and long swords simultaneously. His founding of a school for tsuba manufacturing is unforgettable. His most famous, very simple tsuba consists of two oval rings.

Er war Kämpfer, Künstler und Handwerker zugleich. Er entwickelte einen eigenen Kampfstil, der als "Niten Ichiryu" noch heute gelehrt wird. Dabei werden Kurz- und Langschwert gleichzeitig eingesetzt. Unvergessen ist seine Gründung einer Schule für die Stichblatt-Herstellung (Tsuba). Seine bekannteste, sehr schlichte Tsuba besteht aus zwei ovalen Ringen.
