Gladius Type Pompeii Sword with Sheath, the main weapon of the Roman legions. Short sword with a wide double-edged blade made of carbon steel EN45. The framed grip made of bone imitation features an oval crossguard and a spherical pommel made of solid wood with hand-carved motifs.

The sword tang is securely fixed to the pommel with a brass nut. A brass plate embedded in the wood of the crossguard is covered with a small piece of felt to cushion the contact between the grip and the sheath. The ornate sheath is made of wood, wrapped in leather, and adorned with brass fittings.

Gladius Typ Pompeji Schwert mit Scheide, die Hauptwaffe der römischen Legionen. Kurzschwert mit breiter zweischneidiger Klinge aus Karbonstahl EN45. Die eingerahmte, aus Knochenimitat gefertigte Griffpartie ist mit einem ovalen Handschutz und einem kugelförmigen Knauf aus massivem Holz mit handgeschnitzten Motiven gefertigt.

Die Schwertangel ist mit einer Messingmutter sicher am Knauf fixiert. Eine im Holz des Handschutzes eingearbeitete Platte aus Messing ist mit einem kleinen Stück Filz bezogen, um den Kontakt zwischen Heft und Scheide abzufedern. Die prunkvolle Scheide aus Holz gefertigt und mit Leder umschlagen und mit Messingbeschlägen verziert.
