Savage Firearms MSR 10 Hunter 18" 6.5mm Creedmoor Semi-Automatic Rifle
The MSR 10 models belong to the MSR series from Savage Arms. The 10 models are styled like the AR-10.
MSR = Modern Savage Rifle
The MSR 10 Hunter from Savage Arms features a 46 cm short, black, precision barrel made of carbon steel. Optimal heat dissipation is achieved through the button-rifled and perfectly centered barrel, which improves precision and rigidity. This semi-automatic rifle comes standard with a muzzle thread and a two-chamber muzzle brake. The brake has 2 impact surfaces that divert gas pressure to the side or upward, minimizing recoil and muzzle rise. Instead of a brake, a suppressor can also be screwed on.
The receiver is made of an aluminum-zinc alloy, which is comparable to many steels but has a significantly lower weight. The bolt catch lever and the safety lever of the 2-position safety are located on the left side. The interchangeable Blackhawk AR Blaze trigger is non-adjustable. The large continuous Picatinny rail allows for the attachment of a scope and has only a small cutout for the factory-adjustable gas nozzle. This has the advantage that the shooter does not need to remove the handguard to adjust the nozzle. This semi-automatic rifle has a 10-round Magpul magazine.
The retractable Blackhawk polymer stock is available in Camo MossyOak Overwatch or black. It features a free-floating, octagonal M-Lok handguard that provides optimal cooling of the barrel, and the M-Lok interfaces offer the possibility to easily attach accessories. The adjustable support can be locked in 6 positions and can be adjusted by a total of 8.2 cm. A good grip is ensured by the pistol grip, which is also provided by Blackhawk. The whole setup is rounded off with a 2.5 cm wide black rubber butt pad.

Die MSR 10 Modelle gehören zur MSR-Serie von Savage Arms. Die 10er Modelle sind im Stil des AR-10 gehalten.
MSR = Modern Savage Rifle
Das MSR 10 Hunter von Savage Arms hat einen 46 cm kurzen, schwarzen, Carbonstahl-Präzisionslauf. Eine optimale Hitzeabführung entsteht durch den knopfgezogen und perfekt zentrierten Lauf, wodurch die Präzision und Steifigkeit verbessert wird. Dieser Selbstlader hat Serienmäßig ein Mündungsgewinde mit einer Zweikammer-Mündungsbremse. Die Bremse hat 2 Prallflächen, die den Gasdruck zur Seite oder nach oben ableiten, was den Rückstoß und den Hochschlag minimiert. Anstatt einer Bremse kann man auch einen Schalldämpfer aufschrauben.
Der Receiver besteht aus einer Alu-Zink-Legierung, welche mit vielen Stählen vergleichbar ist, aber ein deutlich geringeres Gewicht hat. Der Verschlussfanghebel und der Sicherungshebel der 2-Stellungs-Sicherung befinden sich auf der linken Seite. Der austauschbare Blackhawk AR Blaze Druckpunktabzug lässt sich nicht verstellen. Die große durchgängige Picatinny-Schiene ermöglicht das Anbringen eines Zielfernrohres und hat nur eine kleine Aussparung für die serienmäßig einstellbare Gasdüse. Das hat den Vorteil, das der Schütze nicht erst den Handschutz abnehmen muss, um die Düse zu verstellen. Dieser Selbstlader hat ein 10-Schuss-Magpul-Magazin.
Der ausziehbare Blackhawk-Kunststoffschubschaft ist in den Farben Camo MossyOak Overwatch oder Schwarz erhältlich. Er hat einen freischwingenden, achteckigen M-Lok-Handschutz welcher eine optimale Kühlung des Laufes bewirkt und die M-Lok-Schnittstellen bieten die Möglichkeit, Anbaugeräte ganz einfach zu befestigen. Die in 6 Positionen arretierbare Stütze lässt sich um insgesamt 8,2 cm verstellen. Für einen guten Halt sorgt der Pistolengriff, welcher ebenfalls von Blackhawk zur Verfügung gestellt wird. Abgerundet wird das Ganze durch eine 2,5 cm breite, schwarze Gummi-Schaftkappe.
