1960s Colt POLICE POSITIVE SPECIAL DA Revolver
Here we present a C&R Royal Hong Kong Police Colt Police Positive Special, manufactured in the mid-1960s in Hartford, Connecticut. The Colt Police Positive Special is a double-action revolver with a medium frame and a six-shot cylinder, primarily chambered in .38 Special. It was primarily designed for sale to law enforcement agencies at the federal, state, or local level and enjoys a reputation as the most produced revolver design by Colt, with over 750,000 units built.
The Police Positive Special was a slight improvement over Colt's earlier Police Positive model. The only differences were a slightly extended cylinder and an extended and reinforced frame to accommodate the longer, more powerful .32-20 Winchester and .38 Special cartridges. It was also produced in .32 Colt New Police and .38 Colt New Police calibers. It was manufactured with 4-inch, 5-inch, and 6-inch barrels and was equipped with either wooden or hard rubber grips.

Der Colt Police Positive Special ist ein Double-Action-Revolver mit mittlerem Rahmen und sechsschüssigem Zylinder, der hauptsächlich im Kaliber .38 Special gelagert ist. Er wurde in erster Linie für den Verkauf an Strafverfolgungsbehörden auf Bundes-, Landes- oder lokaler Ebene entwickelt und genießt mit über 750.000 gebauten Exemplaren den Ruf, das meistproduzierte Revolverdesign von Colt zu sein. Die Police Positive Special war eine kleine Verbesserung gegenüber dem früheren Police Positive-Modell von Colt. Die einzigen Unterschiede bestanden in einem leicht verlängerten Zylinder und einem verlängerten und verstärkten Rahmen, um die Patronenlager der längeren, leistungsstärkeren .32-20 Winchester- und .38 Special-Patronen zu ermöglichen. Es wurde auch im Kaliber .32 Colt New Police und .38 Colt New Police hergestellt.
