The repeating rifle M96, colloquially known as the Swedish Mauser, was the choice of the Swedish army when a new standard rifle was to be procured at the end of the 19th century. These were initially manufactured by Mauser in Oberndorf a. N., later only by Swedish companies, primarily at the Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori. Due to the high level of manufacturing and the unparalleled reliability and precision, the rifle remained in service for an impressive 8 decades.
Due to its neutrality during World War II, Sweden was able to maintain its high manufacturing standards, allowing the produced rifles to be made without quality fluctuations, which made them very popular among shooters and collectors worldwide. Additionally, the rifle is an excellent choice for free competitions or service shooting due to its small recoil caliber 6.5x55Swed and pronounced precision.
The present rifle is marked with a valid German proof. The condition of the weapon is good. Unfortunately, it is not matching numbers.

Gebrauchtwaffe Repetierbüchse Schwedenmauser M96/1917, Kaliber 6,5x55Schwed
Das Repetiergewehr M96, umgangssprachlich auch Schwedenmauser genannt, war die Wahl der schwedischen Armee, als Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts eine neues Standardgewehr beschafft werden sollte. Diese wurden zu Beginn von Mauser in Oberndorf a. N. gefertigt, später nur noch durch schwedische Unternehmen, vorne weg bei der Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori. Aufgrund des hohen Fertigungsniveaus und der konkurrenzlosen Zuverlässigkeit und Präzision, blieb das Gewehr mehr als beeindruckende 8 Jahrzehnte im Dienst.
Durch seine Neutralität während dem zweiten Weltkrieg konnte Schweden seine hohe Fertigungsstandards beibehalten, sodass die produzierten Gewehre ohne Qualitätsschwankungen hergestellt werden konnten, was sie bei Schützen und Sammlern weltweit sehr beliebt machte. Zudem ist das Gewehr durch sein kleines rückschlagarmes Kaliber 6,5x55Schwed und ausgeprägte Präzision eine ausgezeichnete Wahl für freie Wettkämpfe oder das Ordonnanzschießen.
Das vorliegende Gewehr ist mit einem gültigen deutschen Beschuss versehen. Der Zustand der Waffe ist gut. Sie ist leider nicht Nummerngleich.
