The new generation Savage Arms MSR 15 Recon offers more precision and flight stability thanks to the improved barrel with 5R rifling. The barrel is made of Tenifer with a hard, corrosion-resistant QPQ surface coating.

A hybrid chamber made of carbon steel allows the use of NATO ammunition as well as civilian cartridges (.223Rem and 5.56 NATO).

The improved trigger according to MIL-SPEC guidelines ensures additional accuracy. In addition, a free-floating M-LOK handguard with a continuous Picatinny rail, a Magpul grip, and buttstock are installed.
