Huma-Air BSA Scorpion pressure regulator (external) This regulator is specifically designed for tuning your BSA Ultra MMC airrifle. It’s very easy to install on your rifle. Just depressurize the rifle, unscrew the pressure tube and screw the regulator between valvehouse and pressure tube and you are finished.*
We copied the original BSA valve body thread to allow the body of the regulator to be screwed directly to the valve body and air cylinder and we designed it for a wide pressure range (70-150 bar) to suit sub 12 ft/lbs (UK) and high power FAC models.
The benefits
Higher accuracy of your rifle due to the elimination of the pelletspeed fluctuations. A constant pellet speed over the full working pressure range. It will give you a better shotcount and a full flat shotstring immediately. The regulator housing is made of extremely tough 42Cr steel. Tested for a working pressure of at least 3x the working pressure of the rifle, for everyone’s safety. It uses a long stroke piston that gives great consistency. The regulator body and the housing are one piece, so no chance of the regulator moving inside the cylinder. The one piece body and regulator housing also reduces the possibility of leaks. The regulator piston is captive and does not need any adjustment or extra work to keep it in place. DIY fitting is a real option for the most people. High quality bluing, same colour as the original BSA pressure tube. Adding a regulator to your airrifle will probably give you the biggest benefit in the tuning process.
Pressure settings The regulator comes preset on the most common pressure setting according to your choise of barrel and caliber, or we will adjust it according to your personal wishes. The length of the barrel is measured from the magazine until the tip of the actual barrel (not the end of the shroud). After fitting the regulator, always check the powersetting of the rifle and finetune it when needed to stay within legal limits.
Due to his length, this reg has a restricted airvolume, so this makes it specially suitable for the 12 ft/lbs – 16 Joule versions. The maximum power of the reg is about 25 ft/lbs – 35 Joule with a 47 cm barrel. If you are looking for a higher power regulator for your BSA mmc rifle please take a look at our high power internal regulator.
* Please remove the brass restrictor part out of the valvehouse and check if your transferport is between 4 - 4,5 mm. Otherwise open it up for best performance
Huma-Air Quality Control The regulator is CNC produced out of high grade aircraft Aluminum and bronze. To guarantee a perfect product, every regulator is manually assembled, tested and adjusted to the requested pressure. We only use belleville springs designed for critical applications to achieve the highest repeat accuracy. This gives our regulators a repeat cycle less than 1% difference.
