Der ELG Handschutz verfügt über sechs (6) M-LOK Schlitze an den Positionen 3, 6 und 9 Uhr für die Montage einer Vielzahl von Zubehörteilen, die dem Schützen helfen, das Beste aus seiner klassischen Jagd- oder Hausverteidigungswaffe zu machen. Wenn ein Schütze die Anpassungsfähigkeit des M-LOK-Systems wünscht, aber das saubere Aussehen der Waffe beibehalten und gleichzeitig den Halt der Waffe beim Abfeuern von modernen, stark rückstossenden .45-70 Gov’t-Patronen verbessern möchte, ist der ELG Hand Guard sowohl mit Typ 1 als auch mit Typ 2 Magpul Rail Covers kompatibel. Der ELG hat einen integrierten Handstopp an der Vorderseite des Handschutzes.
Der ELG Hand Guard passt derzeit NUR für Marlin 1895-Patterns mit der Hand Guard Retaining Cap. Er passt nicht auf Waffen des 1894/336-Musters ohne Modifikationen und erfordert einen Schwalbenschwanz-Handschutzzapfen, der bei jeder Waffe mit einem Laufband hinzugefügt werden muss, um den OEM-Handschutz zu erhalten.
