The TT-33 was developed by Fyodor Vasilievich Tokarev and introduced as the standard-issue pistol of the Red Army. The offered firearm comes from the early pre-war production, which is particularly interesting for collectors of historic military firearms.
The design is based on the Browning locking system with short barrel recoil and features an external hammer as well as a single-action trigger. A special feature of the TT-33 is the trigger and bolt mechanism removable as a unit.
An original manufacture from 1936 is an early version from the Tula Arms Plant. The pistols of this production period differ in individual manufacturing features and surface finishes from later war and post-war models.
The firearm is in condition 2 and shows normal age- and use-related signs of wear. These may include light scratches on the bluing and signs of use on the grip panels.
The condition description is a general assessment. Not every typical sign of wear assigned to this condition grade must be present on the offered firearm.
