It can be frustrating when you are waiting for a response from a seller and receive no feedback. Here are some steps you can take:
Wait long enough:
Sellers and private advertisers can be very busy, and it may take some time for them to see your message and respond. It is advisable to wait at least 24-48 hours before taking further action. WARNING!: Especially during holiday and vacation times, as well as on public holidays, responses to your inquiries may take longer than usual. Please be understanding of this.
Send another message:
If you still have not received a response after a reasonable waiting period, send another message. It may be that your previous message was overlooked. Private sellers do not check the Gunfinder chat every day.
The seller will be notified of the new message via email and reminded.
Gunfinder strongly advises against circumventing the platform and sharing your email address or mobile number with the seller!
Check if the seller is verified:
Make sure on the seller's profile that they are verified, meaning they have completed an identity verification process.
You can recognize this by the small badge icon next to the seller's name.
If a seller has not yet verified their account, our buyer protection system applies!
This means that while you can message the seller, they can only respond to you after completing the identity verification for security reasons. This protects our users from fraud attempts and increases safety for everyone on Gunfinder. Nevertheless, the seller can see all messages and will be notified about them. Consider contacting other sellers:
Unfortunately, despite everything, we at Gunfinder have little influence over the communication between seller and interested party.
If the seller still does not respond and you urgently need an item, you should consider contacting other sellers. There are many sellers on Gunfinder, and we are continuously growing! This offers you a wide selection, and you should be able to find a seller who can meet your requirements.
