Die Firma Luigi Franchi SpA produzierte von 1979 bis 2000 das Gewehr als Schrotflinte für das Militär und die Polizei. SPAS = Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun (Automatische Schrotflinte für besondere Einsätze). Dieses Gewehr mit festem Schaft und Pistolengriff basiert auf dem Modell SPAS. Das GSG Franchi SAS 12 Softair Gewehr ist ein gelungener Nachbau mit Federdrucksystem aus dem Hause ASG und verfügt über einen Pistolengriff, 3 Innenläufe und ein einstellbares Spin-Up System für beste Präzision. Das Gewehr wird mit einem Speedloader, einem Trageriemen, 4 Hülsen und Hülsenschlaufen zur Anbringung am Schaft ausgeliefert.
