The NORMA Ecostrike is a modern, environmentally friendly cartridge with a copper projectile. The hollow point, which is finished with a polymer tip for precise flight behavior, ensures the rapid expansion of the projectile in the game body. To protect the rifle barrel from copper deposits, the bullet is coated with nickel.
The boattail rear of the projectile increases the inherent precision of the bullet. The projectile is designed to expand to double the caliber diameter in the game body, and also to maintain sufficient target velocity and penetration power at long shooting distances, allowing for reliable hunting of larger game.
The escape distances are described as comparatively short, regardless of the hit location and caliber, while the game meat degradation for lead-free ammunition is low.
