The lightest repeating rifle from SAKO - the weapon with a carbon stock weighs only 2.4 kg. In addition to the carbon stock, the free-floating fluted barrel also contributes to weight savings. The weapon is available in calibers .243 Win, .308, and 6.5 Creedm. as a left-hand system. The locking system in all Sako 85 versions is based on the System 75. It is manufactured in six system sizes from XS to XL. The bolt features three classic locking lugs made from a single piece and locks firmly in the case head. The action is cycled at an angle of 70 degrees. The weapon is also available as a manual cocking version. For the trigger, one can choose between a shotgun trigger, a combination trigger with a set trigger, and a fine trigger for ball ammunition. On the system sleeve, there is a conical prism to which all common scope mounts can be attached.
