It mounts directly to the factory drilled and tapped receiver of your Mossberg 940 JM PRO shotgun. Important: Currently there are two different Mossberg 940 Pro Shotguns in the market place. One with a standard style receiver top, and one that has the “Optic Ready” configuration with an optic filler plate. The GG&G Scope Mount will fit both styles of receivers. The GG&G parts package includes hardware for the scope mount installation for both styles of receivers.The Installation Instructions clearly specify the correct hardware to use. It is not complicated but, PLEASE READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY! Low profile, CNC machined Mil-Std 1913 dovetail, manufactured from billet 6061T6 aluminum, Mil-Spec anodizing, Torx head mounting screws for both styles of receivers, and MADE IN AMERICA BY MEN AND WOMEN PROUD TO BE AMERICANS!
