The DB 161 from Merkel represents the side-lock operated variant of the renowned Merkel DB 141 model. In the design of the DB 161, Merkel places a special focus on the elegance that is typical for rifles in the timeless style of side locks. However, this does not neglect the handling; it is intended to be at the same level as the DB 141.
Similar to Merkel's other double rifle model, the DB 161 features short barrels that are used in conjunction with a sight for driven hunts. The option of a swing mount is also available through the corresponding mounting rail. This can be purchased directly with the rifle if needed.
Upon request, the DB 161 can also be equipped with ejectors, and there is also the possibility of using interchangeable barrels.
