With the DB 141 double rifle , Merkel says itoffers "one of the lightest double rifles" in the world. The low weight of this double rifle, which has a particularly slim base in combination with short barrels, is said to make it suitable for hunting types such as movement hunting or mountain hunting. For this reason, the DB 141 also comes standard with a driven hunt sight and is designed to make a swivel mount easy to install.
Merkel equips the break-barrel rifle out of the box with a double trigger with back trigger. However, a single trigger is also available as an option. The DB 141 is manufactured in five of the most popular drop barrel rifle calibers. But also here a special production in another caliber is possible on request. Exchangeable barrels and ejectors can also be ordered.
