The Leupold VX-5HD Gen 2 1-5x24 is a lightweight, especially robust stalking scope for quick target acquisition at short to medium distances. The 5x zoom range combines a very large field of view at 1x magnification with sufficient detail recognition at 5x magnification. The Professional-Grade Optical System offers high light transmission, effective stray light suppression, and high-contrast imaging even in backlight or difficult lighting conditions. High-resolution HD lenses support clear, color-true, and detailed image reproduction across the entire magnification range. The illuminated FireDot 4 Fine reticle is located in the second image plane. Its strong outer bars allow quick orientation, while the fine center supports precise aiming. The open upper reticle area also facilitates observation of the target environment. The red illuminated dot quickly draws the eye to the reticle center and can be adjusted in eight brightness levels to suit the lighting conditions. The integrated Motion Sensor Technology (MST™) automatically switches off the reticle illumination after five minutes without movement. As soon as the scope is moved, the illumination activates immediately again. This conserves the battery without limiting rapid readiness. The metric elevation and windage adjustments work with 1 cm per click at 100 m. Both adjustment turrets are designed as protected pop-up rezero turrets and can be reset to the zero mark after sighting in. This model is explicitly not a CDS version with SpeedSet™ elevation turret. The hydrophobic Guard-Ion coating repels water, dirt, and fingerprints and makes cleaning the external lenses easier. An integrated, low-profile throw lever enables quick magnification changes. The scope is waterproof, fog-proof, and shockproof.
