A part of the suppressor extends backwards over the barrel, allowing very good suppression values with a short net length. In addition, the first-shot pop typical of other suppressors is reduced to an absolute minimum. Recoil and muzzle flash are also significantly reduced.The ERA® SILENCER can be easily disassembled: the thread inserts are replaceable. By exchanging the thread insert, the ERA® SILENCER can also be used on other firearms of the same caliber but with different barrel threads. Also included is a protective cap mounted at the rear end of the over-barrel suppressor. It protects the barrel thread and suppressor from damage caused by lateral forces and prevents dirt and snow from entering.The surface structure significantly reduces powder residue adhesion inside the suppressor. Externally milled longitudinal grooves provide the necessary grip during mounting and ensure faster cooling.The stepped design protects the sealing rings, as no contact with powder residues in the outer tube occurs during disassembly. Nach Serien von maximal 10 Schuss ist der Dämpfer soweit abzukühlen, dass er mit bloßen Händen angefasst werden kann!Hinweise zu SchalldämpfernZielballistisch hat die Nutzung von Schalldämpfern bei Benutzung von normal üblicher Jagdmunition keinen Einfluss - die Wirkung des Geschosses bleibt gleich. Auch die Wahrnehmung der Umgebung wird nicht beeinflusst. Schalldämpfer verringern Rückstoß wie auch Lärm an der Quelle. Dadurch wird auch das Umfeld (z.B. Jagdhunde) vor Lärmschäden geschützt. Sie mindern das Mündungsfeuer fast vollständig, so dass bei schlechtem Licht das Zeichnen und die Fluchtrichtung des Wildes besser wahrzunehmen sind. Vor dem Durchziehen der Waffe sollte der Schalldämpfer immer entfernt werden um Beschädigungen an den Blenden zu vermeiden. Ebenso sollte die Waffe immer ohne montierten Schalldämpfer gelagert werden um Korrosionen im Lauf zu minimieren. Für die Reinigung und Konservierung von Schalldämpfern empfehlen sich Kriechöle.
