The firearms manufacturer German Sport Guns, also known by the abbreviation GSG, produces various .22 caliber firearms under the Mauser license, including the Mauser M20, Mauser 1911, and Mauser M15.

The Mauser M20 is a 10% smaller semi-automatic pistol designed like a SIG SAUER P226 in .22lr caliber with the same system and safety features. It only differs from its larger counterpart in the slide, where it uses a mass blowback system.

The Mauser M20 is based on the GSG FireFly and utilizes its grip frame including the trigger mechanism. The main difference between the two pistols lies in the material selection for the slide.

The Mauser M20 features a CNC-machined aluminum slide with Cerakote coating, allowing the use of even weaker standard ammunition up to HV ammunition, thus covering the entire range of different loadings. Equipped with an ergonomic polymer grip and black plastic grip panels, single and double-action trigger, metal magazine, ambidextrous safety, decocking lever, and adjustable sights. Additionally, a lower Picatinny rail is attached, allowing for the mounting of a bridge mount for a red dot sight. The semi-automatic pistol is suitable for both left-handed and right-handed shooters.

Additionally, the Mauser M20 is equipped with a magazine safety and a child safety lock that can be activated or deactivated with an included key. Popular among sport shooters but also among hunters as a universal and cost-effective catch shot weapon for trap hunting.
