Rare Mayer & Söhne Mod G in caliber 6 mm Knall/ PTB 165

Selling an old Perfecta Mod. G here. The Perfecta has a long history. Its origins date back to the 1930s and the company Carl Walther, then based in the gun city of Zella-Mehlis, which produced the first model of the gas alarm pistol Perfecta in those years.After the war, production was discontinued. In 1952, Mayer & Riem KG from Arnsberg secured the trademark rights and resumed production. The product line was expanded in the 1960s with several variants as a starter pistol with a blind barrel and gas/signal pistol. The models produced by Mayer & Riem/ Mayer & Söhne bear the MaRie logo or the emblem, as here on the grip panels.In the early 1970s, the companies Mayer & Riem KG and Mayer & Ussfeller GmbH merged to form Umarex Sportwaffen GmbH & Co. KG. Production and model maintenance continued for a few more years and, to my knowledge, was discontinued at the end of the 1980s.A special feature of this firearm is the tubular magazine, into which up to eight 6 mm Flobert blank cartridges can be inserted upright. Fired blank cartridges are ejected through an opening on the rear top.As soon as the magazine is empty, the trigger can no longer be pulled. This way you know it is empty. There is always still one case inside, as the pistol only ejects the upper case after the second shot. The last one can then be fired after removing the magazine.The pistol is a real workhorse, it is robust and very durable. It was test-fired and works.
