Clearance of my collection: Korth Revolver Model Sport 6" caliber .357 in original packaging

The Kort Modell Sport from 1982 is an absolute masterpiece by the legendary gunsmith Willi Korth from his world-famous creative phase in Ratzeburg. The Modell Sport features an adjustable sight and usually a wider grip.Willi Korth used a very distinctive five-digit numbering system, divided into thousand-blocks (series). The number range 38xxx was manufactured and proofed exactly in the year 1982. This is historically a highly interesting era. It is the time shortly after Willi Korth officially left the company (1981), during which the guns in the Ratzeburg factory were still assembled exactly according to his uncompromising quality standards and design plans.The special feature of the Ratzeburg Korth revolver from this production period enjoys an almost mythical reputation among collectors worldwide. Every single component was hand-fitted until there was no play left. The lock weight and the double-action trigger are still considered the benchmark in gunmaking today. A famous anecdote says that the steel is so hard it destroyed conventional tools during machining.The revolver was specifically developed for static precision shooting (e.g. DSB disciplines). The barrel usually has a distinctive, ventilated barrel rib on top. The sight on the gun is a mechanical work of art in itself. For the Modell Sport, Korth installed a sight where the rear sight can be adjusted in height and windage via fine, precisely clicking discs. Unlike standard revolvers from Smith & Wesson or Colt, nothing wobbles here even after decades, as the parts were milled and hardened from solid steel blocks. Ratzeburg Korth revolvers have experienced a massive increase in value for years, as this manufacturing quality would be priceless today.The gun comes from an inherited collection that I am gradually dissolving after careful consideration. It is not easy to part with these pieces, but they should go into the hands of people who appreciate their quality and history.The revolver can of course be viewed and inspected on site by appointment.
