Beautiful express rifle break-action rifle from Spingers Erben Wien. The weapon was delivered on 08.02.1881 to a Baron Ludwig … unfortunately, the name in the weapon book of Springer is very unclear. The weapon was listed as .450 Express. According to my research and after casting the chamber, I think it is a 11.6x82R. A cartridge that was very common at the time. The cartridge is only slightly narrower in the middle than the later .450 BPE or .450 NE, so one could ream the chamber and then simply get cases, or slightly resize the .450 BPE case.The rifle is in beautiful condition for its age, everything works and the action is tight.It only has the original stamps, no reproof.If interested, happy to provide more info and pictures.Private sale without warranty.Export to Germany approx. 100€.
