Unlike the pure overall length (COAL/OAL), measuring at the ogive provides reproducible values, as the bullet tip does not serve as a reference. This is particularly important for optimal seating depth.The Comparator Body is simply fixed with the clamping screw to the outer measuring arm of the caliper.
