Dissolution of my collection: SIG Sauer P220 caliber 9mm - very well maintained condition

For sale is a SIG Sauer Mod. 220 in caliber 9mm, which is in very good and well-maintained condition. The weapon has been fired only a little and has always been treated with great care and regularly maintained.The SIG Sauer P220 was designed in the 1960s/1970s by the Schweizer Industrie Gesellschaft (SIG) in Neuhausen and was introduced as the Pistole 75 in the Swiss Army starting in 1975. It established the world-famous P-series and was developed in cooperation with the German gunsmith J.P. Sauer & Sohn.The P220 was intended to replace the legendary SIG P210 (Model 1949). It was designed by the Swiss engineer Walter Ludwig. Since Swiss neutrality laws made the export of weapons difficult, SIG partnered with the German manufacturer J. P. Sauer & Sohn in Eckernförde. The weapons were henceforth developed together and produced in Germany.It was one of the first production pistols with an automatic firing pin safety system and introduced the Browning-Petter locking system, where the chamber is locked directly in the ejection window.It comes from an inherited collection that I am gradually dissolving after careful consideration. It is not easy to part with these pieces, but they should go to individuals who appreciate their quality and history.It currently has the standard sight installed but can be converted to a sport sight for about 70 euros. The original packaging is also included.The pistol can, of course, be inspected and evaluated on-site by prior appointment.
