This Colt in caliber .45 was manufactured until 1940 in various barrel lengths. The Buntline could be ordered with a shoulder stock and offered a choice between a fixed and an adjustable sight. The Buntline model was a Peacemaker with an overlong barrel of 12" to 16". Allegedly, this model was commissioned by the author Ned Buntline.
