The arms dealer WH e.K. offers:Mauser HSc, 9 mm Kurz, original accessories, like new! -Collector's weapon- The Mauser HSc is a pistol that was developed shortly before World War II. It was primarily intended for use by police forces but found widespread use among military units in Germany during the war. In particular, the double-action trigger of the Walther models led to strong sales, which reduced Mauser's market share in the domestic business. As a result, several prototypes were created, of which the third was eventually put into mass production. The designation HSc of the weapon is derived from the words Hahn-Selbstspanner-Pistole c. The Mauser HSc was developed with civilian use in mind. This resulted in high craftsmanship standards and special safety features of the weapon. The mere removal of the magazine blocks the trigger. This prevents shots from being fired from loaded pistols when they are to be unloaded and there is still a cartridge in the chamber. The weapon was only designed for the relatively weak cartridges 7.65 mm x 17 (0.32 Browning) and 9 mm x 17 (0.38 Browning), so a simple mass closure was sufficient. For concealed carry of the Mauser, all corners were rounded, and the hammer protruded only slightly. After the war, the Mauser factories fell under the administration of the French occupying power, which continued production, including weapons of the HSc type. Later, the facilities were dismantled. In the 1970s, the company Mauser reintroduced the pistol, among other things as HSc-80 with increased magazine capacity, but soon discontinued production. The HSc served as the basis for another new development, namely the HK 4 from Heckler & Koch in Oberndorf.
