Unlike other Spanish handguns, the weapons from Astra and Star have a good reputation. It was the most successful, best-selling model of the company Unceta y Cia,/Guernica (Astra), the Cub. From this type, Astra produced and sold a total of 236,241 pistols in caliber 6.35 mm Browning and 140,150 pistols in .22 short until July 1995. Until the closure of the Astra company in 1998, further M 2000 Cub were manufactured in the production facilities. Even a Colt weapon, the Colt Junior, was identical to the Cub and was produced at Astra in Guernica. As a pocket pistol, Astra had previously offered the M 200 model. This weapon was produced in various versions from 1920 to 1967 and was sold 234,105 times. The pistol was manufactured by Astra-Unceta Y Cia between 1954 and 1998. The pistol features a 2 1/41 inch long barrel, pearl resin grips, matching serial numbers, and a nickel finish.
